Yes, anywhere in the world, including La Paz, you need to be a certified diver to dive and you will need to present your credential at the time of booking.

No problem, we offer the Discovery Scuba activity, a one-day class (theory and practice) where you can make your first dive without prior experience.

You do not need an advanced level of certification to dive in La Paz. Isla Espiritu Santo has various diving sites suitable for all levels of divers. Even if you are a beginner with an Open Water Diver certification, you can safely and comfortably dive at Isla Espiritu Santo.

When you book with us, the activity includes natural water, soft drinks, fruit, snacks, lunch, two tanks, weights, a belt, a certified guide, a captain, and a boat. However, diving equipment is not included in the price and must be rented separately if you don’t have your own.

We usually take customers to the main diving site called Los Islotes, which is where the sea lion colony is located. However, we have other sites available, and depending on availability, we give customers the option to choose which site they would like to visit.

It’s necessary to know how to swim in order to take any diving lesson or course.

The minimum age to take the Jr. Open Water course is 10 years old, so you would have to wait until your 8-year-old son reaches the minimum age and prove that he is healthy and fit to dive.
