Open Water Diver

Complete your PADI Open Water Diver certification with a referral program at Fundu Lagoon. This course is designed for those who have already begun their theoretical knowledge and confined water training elsewhere. Upon arrival at our facility in Zanzibar, you will finalize your PADI Open Water Diver certification by completing four open water dives. These dives will be conducted at depths up to 18 meters, adhering to PADI standards. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the practical application of your skills in the clear, warm waters surrounding Fundu Lagoon, ensuring a smooth transition to certified diver status. This efficient pathway allows you to maximize your time enjoying the underwater world.

Fundu Lagoon offers an exceptional environment for completing your open water dives. The waters here are known for their consistent visibility, often exceeding 20 meters, and a pleasant average temperature of around 28°C year-round, making it comfortable for diving in a shorty wetsuit. You will explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with diverse marine life, including a variety of tropical fish, sea turtles, and possibly even dolphins. The dive sites accessible from Fundu Lagoon are suitable for newly certified divers, providing a safe and engaging experience. We are a PADI-certified dive center, ensuring the highest standards of training and safety are maintained throughout your referral course.
