The Cenote Diving specialty course at Blueline Diving introduces you to the subterranean wonders of the Yucatán Peninsula. This program focuses on the specific techniques and procedures for the safe exploration of caves and freshwater systems, adapting diving skills to partial penetration environments. The Yucatán Peninsula offers ideal conditions for cenote diving, with water temperatures remaining constant around 25-28°C year-round, allowing for comfortable diving without the need for very thick wetsuits. Visibility in cenotes is usually exceptional, often exceeding 30 meters, thanks to the natural filtration of water through limestone rock. The bottoms are mainly composed of fine sand and rock formations, and although marine life is less abundant than in the ocean, the experience centers on exploring the impressive geological structures and the fascinating interplay of light that penetrates from the surface, creating an almost mystical atmosphere.
