Descripción del Curso

The SANTANDER (Nivel 1 y 2) course at Miguel Ozano offers a comprehensive introduction to freediving and a progression for those with prior experience. This program is designed to equip participants with the fundamental techniques for safe and enjoyable freediving. You will learn essential breath-hold strategies, effective relaxation methods to conserve energy, and critical safety protocols. The curriculum typically includes theoretical classroom sessions, practical pool training for skills like finning and equalization, and open water dives to apply your newly acquired abilities.

Santander's coastal environment provides a suitable backdrop for learning and practicing freediving. While specific dive sites are not detailed, the general area is conducive to developing comfort and proficiency in the water. The course structure ensures a gradual learning curve, allowing individuals to build confidence and competence in their freediving journey. The objective is to foster a deep appreciation for the underwater world and the potential of freediving.

The climate data for Santander shows a range of conditions throughout the year. For instance, air temperatures can reach up to 26.1°C in August, while sea temperatures can be as high as 19.5°C. This variability means that depending on the month of your course, you might experience different water conditions, which are all part of the learning experience. The center, Miguel Ozano, is certified by CMAS, IDEA, and SSI, indicating a broad recognition of their training standards. They also offer courses in English, Spanish, and Italian, catering to a diverse range of students.

Nivel 1 focuses on building a solid foundation, enabling beginners to perform introductory freedives safely and with increasing confidence. Nivel 2 then advances these skills, potentially exploring greater depths and longer breath-holds while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and correct technique. This structured progression ensures that students are well-prepared for responsible freediving. The instructors at Miguel Ozano provide tailored guidance, supporting each student's individual progress and ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
