Descripción del Curso

The SSI Dive Guide program represents the initial professional certification within diver training, equipping you with the necessary skills to lead certified divers on recreational dives. This course focuses on developing your expertise in dive planning, leadership, and comprehensive risk management, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of your diving groups. You will deepen your understanding of dive theory, enhance your environmental awareness, and refine your communication techniques.

Upon successful completion of the Dive Guide course, you will be qualified to lead dives and provide assistance to instructors, marking a significant step towards a professional diving career. This certification is the first professional rating in the SSI system, preparing you for further advancement in the dive industry.

Galicia's waters offer a dynamic environment for this training. While the provided climate data shows average air temperatures ranging from 11.1°C in January to 20.5°C in August, sea temperatures average around 15.6°C year-round. This means that while summer offers warmer air, the water temperature remains consistent, requiring appropriate thermal protection for comfortable diving throughout the year. The specific dive sites used for practical training will be selected based on current conditions to maximize learning and safety.

Buceo Galicia, as an SSI-affiliated center, adheres to high training standards. The program emphasizes practical application of learned skills, ensuring graduates are confident and competent in guiding certified divers. The curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation in dive leadership and safety protocols, preparing you for the responsibilities that come with guiding others underwater. This course is a gateway to a professional future in diving.
