CAVERN

The PADI Cavern Diver specialty course is designed for certified divers who want to explore volcanic caves safely. The training teaches the techniques needed to enter overhead environments while staying within the natural light zone. The program covers specialized equipment use, line handling, silt prevention techniques, and gas management planning.

Tenerife features many volcanic tunnels and caves that serve as natural classrooms for this training. Students complete four open water dives at selected sites such as Los Cerebros or Palm Mar Cave. Instructors guide divers through narrow passages to practice reel handling and emergency protocols.

The course takes one to two days to complete and requires a minimum age of eighteen. The price covers four training dives and the course manual. Divers must show good buoyancy control and buddy communication skills to enroll in this specialty.
