The Drift Diving specialty at Dive Bongo prepares you for the thrill of diving in currents, a crucial skill for exploring many of the Philippines' most dynamic dive sites. This course focuses on enhancing your buoyancy control, navigation techniques, and underwater communication, allowing you to enjoy drift dives effortlessly. You'll learn to anticipate and react to current conditions, ensuring safe and enjoyable dives. Practical sessions take place on the reefs near Malapascua, known for their interesting formations and marine life, under PADI certification. The course includes two practical dives designed to apply learned techniques in a controlled environment.

Diving in Malapascua, where Dive Bongo operates, offers generally favorable conditions year-round, with water temperatures ranging from 27°C to 30°C, allowing for comfortable diving in a 3mm wetsuit. Visibility is typically excellent, exceeding 20 meters on most days, ideal for appreciating the diversity of corals and reef fish. The area is renowned for its pelagics, including occasional thresher sharks and manta rays, making every dive an opportunity for surprising encounters.
