Descripción del Curso
The PADI Rescue Diver specialty course at Buceo La Herradura is designed to significantly enhance your diving capabilities, moving beyond recreational limits to focus on accident prevention and management. This challenging yet highly rewarding certification involves five theory modules and a final exam, alongside extensive practical training. You will master self-rescue techniques, learn to recognize and manage stress in other divers, and develop the skills to handle dive emergencies effectively. The practical component includes mastering seven new rescue skills, practiced from both shore and boat, culminating in realistic rescue simulations.
La Herradura's location offers excellent conditions for this advanced training. While the average sea temperature hovers around 18.6°C, it can reach up to 28.8°C in August, providing comfortable water conditions for the extensive practice required. The climate data shows minimal rainfall in May (1 mm) and July (0.2 mm), suggesting these months are particularly favorable for conducting the course with optimal weather.
Buceo La Herradura, a PADI-affiliated center, ensures a high standard of instruction. The course fee of 390 EUR includes the student kit, five theory classes, twelve practical sea exercises, full equipment rental, and certification fees. Prerequisites for enrollment are an Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent, a minimum of 12 logged dives, and a recent First Aid certification, which can be obtained during the course for an additional fee. The typical duration for completing the Rescue Diver course is four days.
This specialty is a pivotal step in a diver's education, building confidence and reinforcing fundamental safety principles. It prepares you to be a more aware, capable, and responsible buddy, ready to assist yourself and others in various underwater scenarios.
