The PADI Rescue Diver course, offered by Open Water, is designed to significantly enhance a diver's capabilities, transforming them into a highly competent individual capable of self-rescue and assisting others. The practical application of these skills takes place in the clear waters off La Herradura and Almuñécar, areas known for their consistent visibility and marine life. The sea temperature in this region averages around 18.6°C, making it suitable for training throughout much of the year, though specific monthly averages vary from 13.4°C in December to 28.8°C in July.
