The PADI and SSI Open Water Diver certification, offered by Dive in La Paz, is your essential first step into the world of scuba diving. This foundational course is globally recognized and designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge for safe and confident underwater exploration. You will learn to manage scuba equipment, master essential diving techniques, understand marine environments, and plan dives responsibly. The program typically spans three days, culminating in certification to dive up to 18 meters (60 feet).
Dive in La Paz utilizes e-learning platforms for the theoretical portion, allowing you to study at your own pace before arriving. This maximizes your time in the water, where you'll refine skills in pool sessions before embarking on four open water dives in the vibrant Sea of Cortez. The SSI option includes online theory, pool sessions, four open water dives, testing, and certification, along with lunch and drinks. Marine park fees and gratuities are additional.
The Sea of Cortez offers consistently pleasant diving conditions, with sea temperatures averaging 26.5°C. While air temperature fluctuates throughout the year, ranging from 19.8°C in January to a high of 32°C in August, the water remains inviting. The region is renowned for its rich biodiversity, providing opportunities to encounter a variety of marine life during your training dives.

Requisitos
- Edad mínima: 10 años (Open Water Junior) o 15 años (Open Water completo)
- Saber nadar 200 m sin parar (estilo libre, espalda o braza)
- Mantenerse a flote 10 minutos sin apoyo
- No padecer claustrofobia ni asma severa
- Cuestionario médico firmado (PADI) — si hay duda, certificado médico
- Si tienes lentillas o gafas, comunicarlo al inscribirte
