The PADI Rescue Diver course at Sea Lions Dive Center is designed to expand your capabilities and confidence in managing dive emergencies. This advanced-level certification focuses on preventing and resolving dive-related problems, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to assist other divers. The curriculum includes comprehensive theoretical modules and practical exercises covering self-rescue techniques, recognizing and managing diver stress, assisting panicked divers, and responding to unresponsive individuals.
Through a series of simulated emergency scenarios, you will gain hands-on experience in critical rescue situations. To enroll, participants must be at least 12 years old and hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. Additionally, a recent Emergency First Response (EFR) certification, completed within the last 24 months, is mandatory. A good level of physical fitness is also required to effectively participate in the rescue training exercises. The course is offered in both English and Spanish, reflecting the center's commitment to diverse clientele.
