Bautizmo

The Bautizo at Big Fish is a 40-minute guided dive from the beach, starting from Playa Las Vistas right in front of the centre. It's the lowest-cost entry point the centre offers at 70€ and the most stripped-back introduction — no boat, no extended theory, just a short briefing and then into the Atlantic. The site sits at 6–10m of depth, which keeps the whole experience close to the surface and well within an easy ascent at any point.

The briefing covers basic hand signals, how to breathe through the regulator, equalising on descent, and what to do if something feels wrong. It's kept practical and short, aimed at people who don't need a lecture — they need to know enough to enjoy 40 minutes underwater without anxiety. The instructor stays in contact throughout the dive, maintaining physical proximity for the duration.

Equipment is provided in full: Mares wetsuit, BCD, regulator, mask, fins, and tank. No van transfer is included in this format since the dive is from the beach directly in front of the centre at Calle Jesús Domínguez Grillo 19. For visitors staying close to Los Cristianos, that makes it easy to walk over, do the dive, and be back within a couple of hours.

Minimum age is 10 years. The Bautizo doesn't produce a certification — it's purely an experience dive. Anyone who finishes it and wants to keep going can move directly into the Discover Scuba Diving programme at 100€ or start the Open Water Diver course at 440€. The instructors at Big Fish run beginner dives in English, German, Spanish, and Polish.
