Descripción del Curso
Enhance your diving capabilities with the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) specialty course offered by Oceania Buceo. This course is specifically designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to safely plan and execute dives using enriched air, which contains a higher oxygen percentage than standard air, typically up to 40%. This allows for significant advantages in recreational diving, primarily by reducing nitrogen absorption.
The theoretical portion of the course requires approximately 2 hours of instruction. Oceania Buceo provides flexibility, allowing you to complete this component either in a classroom setting or conveniently online before your practical dives. The curriculum covers essential procedures for Nitrox diving, including understanding oxygen limits, calculating equivalent air depths, and managing the potential risks associated with higher oxygen concentrations. This foundational knowledge is crucial for maximizing your dive time and safety.
Practical application of your learning occurs during two open water dives, typically conducted over a weekend. During these dives, you will utilize Nitrox blends and practice the planning and safety procedures detailed in the theory sessions. The main benefit you will experience is increased bottom time due to reduced nitrogen loading, enabling more extensive exploration underwater without compromising safety. For those who prefer a theoretical focus, Oceania Buceo also offers a version of the Nitrox course without open water dives, concentrating solely on planning and knowledge.
Upon successful completion of the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty course, you will receive your certification from PADI, a highly respected certifying agency in the diving community. This certification is a valuable addition to your diving qualifications, significantly enhancing your ability to plan and enjoy dives, particularly on trips involving multiple dives per day. It opens up new possibilities for extended exploration and deeper understanding of dive planning principles.
