Descripción del Curso
The PADI Open Water Diver certification, offered by Oceania Buceo, is your entry point into the world of autonomous scuba diving, enabling exploration up to 18 meters (60 feet). This foundational course is meticulously structured to ensure you gain the essential knowledge and practical skills for safe diving. Oceania Buceo emphasizes quality, often exceeding PADI's minimum standards, with a program typically comprising around 8 hours of theory and 8 hours of in-water pool sessions.
During the theoretical component, you will cover crucial topics including dive physics, physiology, equipment configuration, dive planning, and safety protocols. The pool sessions are designed for mastering fundamental skills such as mask clearing, regulator recovery, and buoyancy control in a controlled environment. To guarantee personalized instruction and effective skill development, groups are capped at a maximum of 6 students per instructor.
The practical application of your training culminates in four open water dives, usually conducted over a weekend. These dives take place at coastal locations like La Azohía – Mazarrón, allowing you to apply your newly acquired skills under direct instructor supervision in real diving conditions. You will experience firsthand the underwater environment and observe local marine life.
Upon successful completion of the PADI Open Water Diver course, you will be certified to dive with a buddy anywhere in the world. Oceania Buceo further supports your diving journey by offering benefits such as free club affiliation for your first two dives and a discount on the Advanced Open Water course, encouraging continuous learning and exploration within the diving community.
