Descripción del Curso

ZOEA's specialized Course on Sharks and Rays offers an in-depth exploration of these often-misunderstood marine creatures. This program aims to demystify sharks and rays, highlighting their crucial ecological roles and the conservation challenges they face. Taught by marine biologists, the course provides accurate scientific information to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for these animals, replacing fear with knowledge and respect.

The curriculum covers the diversity of shark and ray species, their evolutionary history, anatomy, and physiology. You'll learn about their behaviors, including feeding strategies, reproduction, and migration patterns. The course also examines the critical importance of sharks and rays in maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems, often acting as apex predators or key regulators. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of their biology and ecology.

A significant portion of the course is dedicated to conservation, addressing the threats facing shark and ray populations globally, such as overfishing, finning, and habitat degradation. You will learn about current conservation initiatives, research efforts, and how individuals can contribute to protecting these vulnerable species. This knowledge is vital for anyone interested in marine life and conservation.

This specialized course is accessible via ZOEA's online platform, ZOEA CAMPUS, allowing students to study at their convenience. The online format provides detailed information, engaging content, and expert insights into the world of sharks and rays. It's an excellent opportunity for divers to enhance their encounters with these animals and promote responsible attitudes towards them. Upon completion, participants will have a strong awareness of the importance of their conservation.
