Divemaster

The PADI Divemaster program at Buceo Mantra represents the first professional certification level within the PADI system, a crucial step for individuals aiming to build a career or a significant part-time pursuit in the diving industry. Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to guide certified divers on various dive sites and assist PADI Instructors in training new divers. This certification is globally recognized, opening opportunities to work at dive centers worldwide and serving as a prerequisite for advanced professional development, such as becoming a PADI Instructor.

To embark on this professional journey, candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification. A recent accredited first aid course, like E.F.R., completed within the last 24 months, is also mandatory. Furthermore, you will need to have logged a minimum of 40 dives before the course begins and present a medical statement confirming your fitness for diving activities. The program emphasizes a blend of theoretical knowledge, delivered via PADI E-learning, and extensive practical application.

Your training at Buceo Mantra will encompass a deep dive into dive theory, physics, physiology, equipment considerations, and environmental protection, all supported by materials like the PADI Divemaster e-learning manual and the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving. Practical components are hands-on, including mastering dive briefings, mapping dive sites, and refining rescue skills through direct assistance with courses. The program includes PADI E-learning access, physical PADI Divemaster slates, and the use of full scuba diving equipment throughout your training. Participants also benefit from preferential rates for accommodation at the on-site Mantra Dive Camp, enhancing the immersive learning experience.

While the PADI professional membership fee is an additional cost, the program's structure is designed for efficient progression, typically requiring around two weeks to complete, though this duration is flexible and adapts to your individual pace and skill acquisition.
