Descripción del Curso

The Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) course at Aquanautic Club Lanzarote is designed to build upon your foundational Open Water skills, introducing you to five distinct adventure dives. This program includes mandatory deep diving and underwater navigation specialties, alongside three additional elective dives chosen from options like wreck diving, night diving, or drift diving. These practical experiences are conducted at local dive sites, allowing you to explore diverse underwater environments and refine your diving techniques under the guidance of certified instructors from CMAS and SSI. The course aims to increase your confidence and competence in various diving conditions, preparing you for more challenging and rewarding underwater explorations.

Lanzarote's waters offer a consistent diving experience throughout the year, with sea temperatures averaging 20.2°C and rarely dropping below 19°C, even in winter months like January and December. Air temperatures are also pleasant, ranging from 19.5°C in January to a high of 24.3°C in August, with minimal rainfall recorded in summer months (June, July, August, September). This stable climate, combined with the potential for good visibility, makes Lanzarote an ideal location for advanced diver training, allowing for comfortable and extended practice sessions during your AOWD course.

Aquanautic Club Lanzarote caters to an international clientele, offering instruction in German, English, and Spanish, ensuring clear communication and a personalized learning experience. While specific details on boat types or exact instructor-to-student ratios are not provided, the center's commitment to developing proficient divers is evident in its curriculum. The course structure emphasizes hands-on application, moving beyond theoretical knowledge to practical skill development in real diving scenarios. This approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared for future diving adventures.

To enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must hold a valid Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent like CMAS*) and be at least 15 years of age. The course integrates theoretical study with practical dives, focusing on enhancing your ability to plan and execute dives to greater depths and in different conditions. By completing this certification, you will be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters, significantly expanding the range of dive sites accessible to you and serving as a crucial step towards higher certifications such as the i.a.c. Master Diver.
