This globally recognized program focuses on vital first aid and CPR techniques, preparing participants to act confidently in critical situations. The curriculum includes learning how to administer care for life-threatening emergencies, such as performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), utilizing an automated external defibrillator (AED), and managing choking incidents. Additionally, the course covers basic first aid for common injuries like severe bleeding, shock, and burns, ensuring you are equipped to assist effectively.
This certification is a mandatory prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course, underscoring its importance in diver safety protocols. However, the EFR course is highly beneficial for anyone seeking to enhance their emergency response capabilities, regardless of their diving experience. The practical skills acquired are directly applicable to everyday life, making this training valuable for all individuals. Dive Red Sea conducts both the theoretical instruction and practical workshop sessions within a classroom setting for this specialty.
While the specific dive sites for practical application are not detailed here, the EFR course itself is designed to build confidence and competence in emergency scenarios. The program emphasizes hands-on training to ensure participants can apply learned techniques under pressure. The cost for this certification is 75 EUR. Please note that national park fees and permissions are not included in the course price. This training is a crucial step for anyone involved in activities where immediate assistance might be required, promoting a proactive approach to safety.
By completing the Emergency First Response course, participants gain the knowledge and practical skills to provide immediate and effective aid to those in need.
