Descripción del Curso
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at Escuela de Buceo Sea Pride is your next step in expanding your underwater exploration capabilities. Building directly on your Open Water certification, this program is meticulously designed to boost your confidence and introduce you to a wider spectrum of diving adventures. You will engage in five distinct adventure dives, with two being mandatory: Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation. These core dives will safely guide you beyond the standard 18-meter limit, up to the PADI-recommended 30 meters, and sharpen your ability to navigate effectively using both compass and natural references. All practical sessions are conducted at the rich and varied dive sites surrounding San Andrés, a location renowned for its marine biodiversity.
Beyond the required deep and navigation dives, you have the flexibility to choose three elective dives tailored to your personal interests. Options may include the thrill of Night Diving, mastering Peak Performance Buoyancy, capturing the underwater world through Photography, or exploring historical sites with Wreck Diving, subject to site availability and suitability. This course is structured to enhance the enjoyment and fun of diving by broadening your experience and increasing your comfort level across diverse underwater conditions. The blended learning approach means you’ll complete the theoretical components via PADI e-learning, allowing for efficient preparation before the practical, hands-on sessions.
Escuela de Buceo Sea Pride, a certified PADI and SDI training center, offers this advanced training in both English and Spanish, catering to a diverse international clientele. The course duration is approximately 8 hours, focusing intensely on the practical application of advanced diving techniques. To enroll, you must hold a certified Open Water Diver qualification or an equivalent rating and be in good physical health. Safe diving practices are paramount throughout the course, including strict adherence to surface intervals before flying, typically a minimum of 18 hours.
San Andrés provides an exceptional backdrop for this advanced training, with its clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. While specific monthly climate data is not provided, the tropical location generally offers warm water temperatures suitable for diving year-round. The dive sites selected for the Advanced Open Water course are chosen to showcase the unique underwater topography and marine life characteristic of the region, ensuring a dynamic learning environment. This course is ideal for certified divers eager to progress their training and unlock new possibilities in their diving journey, making them more capable and comfortable in a wider range of diving scenarios.
