Descripción del Curso
The PADI Advanced Open Water course is for certified Open Water divers who want to extend their range and sharpen their technique. At Pura Aventura, the course runs in the same waters they use for the rest of their diving — the Costa Blanca coast, with access to Tabarca, Cabo de Palos and Cartagena.
The Advanced course is built around five adventure dives, two of which are compulsory: deep diving (to 30 metres) and underwater navigation. The other three are chosen from the PADI speciality options. There is no written exam — the learning happens in the water. The deep dive in particular opens up a range of sites that an Open Water diver cannot legally access, including deeper reef structures and wrecks.
For someone who completed their Open Water and found that 18 metres feels like a ceiling, this is the logical next step. It also serves as a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course if that is where you are heading.
