SSI Open Water Diver

The SSI Open Water Diver certification is your official passport to the underwater world, offered by Eco Island Adventure. This foundational course is designed for absolute beginners, requiring no prior diving experience. You will learn essential diving theory, master crucial skills in controlled confined water sessions, and complete four open water dives under the direct supervision of your SSI-certified instructor. Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters anywhere in the world, always accompanied by a dive buddy. The program typically spans 3 to 4 days, ensuring a thorough and enjoyable learning experience.

This certification opens up over 70% of our planet for exploration. The waters around the dive center offer an average sea temperature of 19.4°C, with monthly averages ranging from a cooler 12.5°C in December to a pleasant 26.4°C in August, making it suitable for diving year-round with appropriate thermal protection. Participants will receive comprehensive digital learning materials from SSI, full diving equipment for the duration of the course, and diving insurance, providing a complete package for your initial dive training.
