Descripción del Curso
Deep Blue Scuba offers the Enriched Air Nitrox (EAN) specialty course, a vital step for divers aiming to extend their underwater exploration time. This program focuses on the essential procedures for planning and safely executing dives using nitrox, a breathing gas mixture with a higher oxygen concentration than standard air. By mastering the management of oxygen levels in your breathing gas, you can significantly extend your no-decompression limits, enabling longer bottom times, particularly beneficial for multiple dives within a single day. This specialty is frequently considered a prerequisite for individuals pursuing technical diving, providing a foundational understanding of advanced gas management techniques.
The curriculum delves into the theoretical underpinnings of nitrox diving. Key topics include understanding oxygen exposure limits, calculating equivalent air depths (EAD), and the critical process of analyzing your breathing gas mixture. You will gain proficiency in planning dives using specialized nitrox tables or dive computers specifically configured for EAN. Comprehensive safety protocols and contingency plans tailored for nitrox diving are also a central component of the training, ensuring you are well-prepared for various scenarios.
This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to confidently dive with nitrox. It represents a valuable enhancement to any diver's training portfolio, improving both safety margins and dive planning capabilities. The objective is to foster a more proficient and informed diver, ready to explore the underwater realm with increased flexibility and extended dive durations. Deep Blue Scuba, located in Singapore, provides this essential specialty training.
While specific dive site details for the practical sessions are not provided in the course data, the Enriched Air Nitrox certification is universally applicable across various dive environments. The theoretical components can be completed efficiently, often within a single day, allowing for prompt integration into your diving activities. The course is typically recommended for certified Open Water Divers or equivalent, with a minimum certification level often being a prerequisite for enrollment. Participants should possess a solid understanding of basic dive planning principles before commencing this specialty.
