Descripción del Curso
The PADI Boat Diver Specialty course at The Dive Shop is designed to enhance your diving experience by familiarizing you with the unique procedures and etiquette of boat diving. This specialty is valuable for all levels, from novice divers to those with considerable boat diving experience, as different vessels and regions have distinct operational protocols. Mastering these skills ensures comfort and safety, opening up access to a wider range of dive sites often located further offshore and potentially offering superior underwater visibility.
This comprehensive course includes a 2-hour classroom session, a PADI Boat Diver manual, DVD code, and the official PIC Card for certification. You will participate in two practical dives, focusing on essential boat diving techniques. Key learning objectives include proper gear stowage, safe water entry and exit methods, and effective use of surface lines. Additionally, you will cover crucial boating safety aspects and learn to identify and locate essential safety equipment onboard.
An exciting benefit of this specialty is that your first dive can be credited as an Adventure Dive towards your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. This provides a dual advantage, allowing you to progress in your diving education while acquiring specialized boat diving skills. The primary aim is to make your boat diving excursions enjoyable and stress-free, enabling you to concentrate on the underwater world and connect with fellow divers.
To enroll, you will need to review the PADI Boat Diver Manual and watch the accompanying video prior to your session with the instructor. The Dive Shop provides the necessary Boat Diver Crew-Pack to get you started. While the course fee covers the classroom instruction and dives, the certification trip itself is not included in this price. Proficiency in boat diving significantly expands your opportunities to explore diverse marine environments that are exclusively accessible by boat.
