The PADI Rescue Diver course at Vibe Dive Tenerife is your essential step towards becoming a more confident and capable diver. This program focuses on preventing and managing diving emergencies, significantly enhancing your ability to assist others and transforming your approach to diving with a proactive mindset. You will learn crucial self-rescue techniques, how to recognize and manage stress in fellow divers, emergency management protocols, and effective methods for rescuing panicked or unresponsive divers. Upon successful completion, you'll be qualified to identify and resolve minor issues before they escalate, provide vital assistance to other divers, handle various emergency scenarios with competence, and become a truly reliable dive buddy. This certification is also a prerequisite for advancing to professional diving levels, specifically preparing you for the PADI Divemaster course.
This comprehensive course combines theoretical knowledge development through PADI eLearning, requiring approximately 8-12 hours of self-paced study, with intensive practical training. The eLearning component allows you to master the foundational concepts at your own convenience. The practical sessions, spread over 3-5 days, involve detailed theoretical explanations, hands-on practice of common emergency scenarios, and critical decision-making exercises in simulated real-world situations. Vibe Dive Tenerife, a PADI-certified center, ensures you receive top-tier instruction. The course price is 400 EUR, including all necessary materials and equipment.
Tenerife offers excellent conditions for this type of training. While specific monthly data for air temperature and rainfall is available, the sea temperature consistently hovers around a comfortable 21°C, making it conducive for extended practice sessions throughout the year. The underwater environment here provides diverse scenarios for practicing rescue techniques, from open water scenarios to potential confined water drills, all under the watchful eye of experienced instructors. The clear waters typical of the Canary Islands enhance the learning experience, allowing for better observation and execution of rescue skills.
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must hold a PADI Advanced Open Water certification or an equivalent from another recognized agency. Participants must be a minimum of 12 years old, with parental authorization required for minors. Good general health is a prerequisite, and individuals with breathing or heart conditions, or ear problems, must provide a medical certificate. Pregnant individuals are advised not to participate. A mandatory 12-hour surface interval is required before flying or engaging in high-altitude activities post-dive, ensuring your safety and adherence to PADI standards. Vibe Dive Tenerife also offers instruction in German, Spanish, French, and Italian, catering to a diverse range of international divers.
