The PADI Divemaster program at Vibe Dive Tenerife positions you as the first professional-level certification, preparing you to lead and mentor fellow divers. This comprehensive course focuses on honing your dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and leadership skills, transforming you into a role model within the diving community. As a certified Divemaster, you will be qualified to organize and direct various scuba diving activities, assist PADI Instructors with student training, teach and certify PADI Skin Divers and Discover Snorkelling programs, conduct PADI Scuba Reviews, and lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences.

The curriculum involves intensive work alongside a PADI Instructor, encompassing knowledge development sessions, rigorous water-skill exercises, practical workshops, and hands-on assessments. The primary goal is to refine and build upon your existing dive and rescue skills, enabling you to anticipate and effectively solve common diving-related problems. The program typically requires approximately 60 hours of dedicated study and practice. While it can be completed intensively over one month, it is also flexible enough to be spread out over weekends, particularly accommodating during the summer months when the weather is most favorable for diving activities.

To embark on this professional journey, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification or an equivalent rating. A minimum of 40 logged dives is mandatory, alongside current CPR and First Aid certification, which must be valid within the last 14 months. A medical clearance to dive is also a prerequisite. As you transition into a dive professional, you are expected to possess your own basic scuba equipment, including a dive computer, dive knife, and at least two surface signaling devices. Your instructor may also suggest additional gear for specific practical skills, such as underwater mapping equipment.

Upon successful completion of the PADI Divemaster course, you gain the qualification to work in diverse aquatic environments worldwide. This includes opportunities at dive centers, on dive boats and yachts, and within resorts. You will play a vital role in dive operations, ensuring the safety of participants and significantly enhancing the overall diving experience for others.
