PADI Seal Team
The PADI Seal Team program at Ocean Turtle Diving offers a foundational aquatic experience for young adventurers aged 8 and 9. This introductory course focuses on building comfort and basic skills in a controlled pool environment. Participants will engage in fun 'AquaMissions' led by a PADI Instructor, learning essential scuba techniques such as breathing underwater, mask clearing, and regulator recovery. These missions are designed to be engaging, incorporating underwater games that make learning enjoyable and effective. The program is structured to introduce children to the sensation of weightlessness and the wonders of the underwater world safely. Ocean Turtle Diving structures the PADI Seal Team into two stages. The initial stage, covering AquaMissions 1-5, certifies the child as a PADI Seal Team Member. This phase covers the core skills needed to be comfortable with scuba equipment. The subsequent stage, PADI Master Seal Team, involves ten advanced AquaMissions. These missions introduce more complex concepts like using a dive torch for simulated night dives, exploring wreck simulations, mastering buoyancy control, and understanding environmental awareness. Completing these advanced missions provides excellent preparation for the Junior Open Water Diver course upon reaching the age of 10. Participants are required to be comfortable in the water and medically fit for diving. The program includes self-study using a PADI Seal Team workbook, which features puzzles and logbook pages to reinforce learning. All in-water training takes place in a pool, with each stage typically requiring one day to complete. This approach ensures a focused and progressive learning experience. Ocean Turtle Diving's commitment to safety and fun makes it an ideal place for children to begin their scuba diving journey. This program is an excellent stepping stone for young divers. It builds confidence, fosters a love for the aquatic environment, and provides a solid base of skills. The PADI Seal Team certification is a recognized achievement that prepares children for further PADI courses, such as the Junior Open Water Diver certification. By introducing these concepts early in a playful manner, Ocean Turtle Diving helps nurture a lifelong passion for the underwater world.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diver program is a beginner scuba experience for people who have never dived before. You will learn basic scuba skills with a PADI professional and experience breathing underwater in a safe, controlled environment.
All training for the Discover Scuba Diver program at Ocean Turtle is conducted in a swimming pool. This allows you to learn and practice skills in calm, shallow, and controlled conditions.
Participants must be at least 10 years old. Anyone under 18 must have parent or guardian consent. If you are aged 8-9 years old you can complete the Seal Team Program.
The Open Water Diver course is the entry-level certification that allows you to dive independently (up to 18 meters, depending on local regulations) anywhere in the world. It covers the skills, knowledge, and safety procedures needed for safe recreational diving.
The course typically takes 3–4 days. Part A (theory and pool) can be compacted into one full day in London or spread over two days in Hampshire. Part B (open water dives) is spread over two days in lakes in the UK or at their dive centre in Spain.
To enrol on the PADI Divemaster course, you must be at least 18 years old, be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent), be a PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent), have Emergency First Response training within the last 24 months, have a minimum of 40 logged dives to start (60 to qualify), and be medically fit to dive with a doctor's signed questionnaire.
All training equipment is included if needed; however, Divemasters are expected to use their own full set of scuba diving equipment where possible. Ocean Turtle can help advise on and sell equipment packages.
