The foundational dive course at adventuredive follows s.u.b. International standards, certified to DIN EN ISO and EUF norms. This is the entry point for divers joining the association's system, which spans both recreational and technical diving under one umbrella — meaning your certification connects directly to the technical pathway if you want to progress later.

Course weekends are scheduled several times through the season, with upcoming dates in May, July, and September 2026. The schedule clusters practical sessions into multi-day blocks, which suits working divers who can't spread training across weeks of weekday evenings. Andreas Kutsch runs the sessions himself, with Andreas Lebéus available as co-instructor.

All dive components follow the s.u.b. International curriculum. The course includes theoretical content alongside pool and open water sessions. Rental equipment costs are listed separately from the course fee, as are any transport or accommodation costs incurred at the dive site. What the course price covers is the instruction and the certification issued on successful completion.

The training takes place at German freshwater sites — Messinghausen and Nordhausen feature in the event calendar, and the open water sessions use similar inland venues. That context matters: German freshwater diving typically means cooler temperatures, variable visibility, and the kind of conditions that build solid buoyancy habits early.
