The Emergency First Response (EFR) course at Tofo Scuba provides essential life-saving skills, focusing on building confidence in medical emergency response. This specialty course is a mandatory step for those pursuing PADI Rescue Diver certification or higher professional ratings, as it fulfills the required CPR and first aid training.

The curriculum is divided into key areas. Primary Care (CPR) teaches how to manage immediate, life-threatening emergencies, including performing CPR and assisting patients with breathing difficulties, cardiac arrest, shock, or severe bleeding. Secondary Care (First Aid) addresses non-life-threatening conditions, equipping participants with skills to assess injuries and illnesses and provide comfort through techniques like bandaging and splinting. The course also integrates crucial CPR & AED training, focusing on the proper use of an automated external defibrillator.

Learning is a blend of theory and practice, starting with a concise video and knowledge reviews before moving to hands-on skill development.
