PADI Deep Diver Specialty

The PADI Deep Diver Specialty course at Scuba Steve's Dive Adventures is designed for certified PADI Open Water Divers aged 15 and older who are ready to explore the exciting world of deeper dive sites, safely reaching depths down to 40 meters (130 feet). Your training will encompass a thorough review of the reasons for deep diving and the critical importance of respecting personal depth limits.

The course involves four practical deep dives conducted under the direct supervision of your PADI Instructor. During these dives, you will master specialized deep diving equipment, refine proper deep dive planning techniques, practice essential buddy contact procedures, and adapt your buoyancy control for deeper environments. A significant focus is placed on managing your gas supply effectively, understanding the physiological effects of nitrogen narcosis, and implementing crucial safety considerations for these advanced dives.

To enroll in this specialty at Scuba Steve's Dive Adventures, you must hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification and be at least 15 years old. The course includes the PADI Deep Diver Crew Pack, which contains your manual and video for self-study. It is recommended that you review these materials prior to your first session with your PADI Instructor to prepare for planning your deep diving adventures. While basic scuba equipment is used, a dive computer is mandatory, and a dive light and slate are also recommended for these dives.
