The SSI Dive Science specialty at Merak Diving is a theory-only programme priced at 230€. No in-water sessions are required — the course focuses entirely on the academic side of diving: physics, physiology, decompression theory, equipment science and the aquatic environment.

Merak Diving has run this course online and has produced instructor-led video content to supplement the SSI materials. The course is available to SSI divers affiliated with the centre, and the centre can handle new SSI registration on enrolment if needed.
