The minimum age to participate in the Discover Scuba Diving program is 10 years old.
The PADI Open Water Diver course includes 5 Knowledge Development sessions, 5 Confined Water sessions, 4 Open Water dives, full scuba equipment, and air fills. It does not include online materials (manuals, tables, exams) or transportation to the open water site.
Yes, skills learned during the Discover Scuba Diving program can be credited towards the Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification if you decide to continue your training.
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must be a PADI Adventure Diver (or Junior Adventure Diver) with at least 12 years of age, have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive, and have completed Primary and Secondary First Aid training (CPR and First Aid) within the last 24 months. This first aid training can be completed during the Rescue Diver course.
To achieve the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, you need to be at least 12 years old, hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, and PADI Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent), have earned five PADI Specialty Diver certifications, and have logged a minimum of 50 dives.
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is popular because diving with enriched air nitrox provides more bottom time, especially on repetitive dives, allowing you to stay longer underwater and return to the water sooner.
