DIVER STRESS & RESCUE

The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue course at Ocean Dreams is the safety and rescue level of the recreational track. Two theory sessions and four water sessions cover stress recognition, accident prevention, underwater first aid, and surface rescues.

This course is a prerequisite for several other programmes at Ocean Dreams — the Technical Foundations, Decompression Procedures, Normoxic Trimix, Hypoxic Trimix, and both Divemaster and Assistant Instructor internships all require Diver Stress & Rescue before entry. That makes it a practical investment for anyone planning to go further technically or professionally.

The water component at this level builds practical skills under realistic conditions. Los Cristianos offers calm water in the south of Tenerife, which keeps the focus on the technique rather than fighting conditions during rescue practice.

At €375, it's one step below the Open Water Diver course in price, and it rounds out the recreational diver profile significantly — both for personal safety and as a gateway to higher-level courses at the same centre.
