SCUBA DIVER

The Scuba Diver programme sits between the Basic Diver and the full Open Water Diver certification. It's designed for people who want to get properly trained but can't commit the time needed for the complete OWD course. The result is a diver certified to work under the direct supervision of a dive professional.

At Ocean Dreams, this means you'll be trained by Jan Lambert, an SSI instructor who runs all levels from beginner through to technical. The south of Tenerife offers calm, warm water and 30 m visibility — conditions well suited to consolidating early skills before moving to open water dives.

This certification has a practical ceiling: you dive with a professional present. For those who want independent diving rights, the Open Water Diver course at €500 is the next step and unlocks self-guided diving to 18 m worldwide. The Scuba Diver at €380 works well if you're short on days but want more than a one-off try dive.
