Try Scuba- Batismo de Mergulho no Mar

The Try Scuba session at Scubazores runs approximately 120 minutes and is designed for first-timers aged 8 and up, with no prior experience required. It follows the SSI Try Scuba programme and takes place in the waters around Angra do Heroísmo, giving participants a direct introduction to breathing underwater in a controlled environment.

The centre's location gives this session a meaningful backdrop. The Lidador wreck at Cais da Figueirinha — a 78-metre steam ship resting at just 8–10 m — is the kind of site that works well for introductory dives: shallow, no penetration, plenty of marine life including octopus, moray eels and grouper. Whether the Try Scuba session uses that exact spot depends on conditions on the day.

Pricing is 110 € per person or 95 € when booking as a group of two or more. Equipment is included through the centre's rental package (BCD, wetsuit, regulator, fins, mask, tank and weight belt). No advance certification or study is needed to sign up.
