Search & Recovery Diver Specialty

The PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course at Aqua Vision is designed to equip you with the essential skills for locating and retrieving submerged objects. This specialty focuses on practical techniques applicable to various scenarios, from recovering lost dive gear to larger items like anchors. You will master buoyancy control for both yourself and the object being recovered, ensuring a safe and efficient ascent.

The curriculum involves three open water dives where you'll practice systematic search patterns and learn to utilize specialized equipment such as lift bags. The course also covers techniques for searching in limited visibility conditions, preparing you for challenging underwater environments. Certification requires demonstrating proficiency in these skills during these practical training dives.

To enroll in this specialty, you need to hold a PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification or a Junior Open Water Diver with the Underwater Navigation Specialty, or an equivalent qualification. The course includes four ocean dives, providing ample opportunity to hone your search and recovery abilities. All necessary scuba equipment is provided for your use during the dives.

Aqua Vision includes lunch, fresh fruit, and bottled drinking water on all dive trips, ensuring your comfort throughout the day. The PADI certification fee and instructor fees are covered, and you will receive a PADI Gold Level Certification Card upon successful completion. Enhancing your search precision can be further achieved by completing the PADI Underwater Navigator course.
