Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver course at Bali Diving Academy is your entry into independent underwater exploration, certifying you to dive up to 18 meters globally. This comprehensive program typically spans three days, blending theoretical knowledge with essential practical skills. You will begin with PADI's online manual, covering crucial concepts of scuba diving, equipment, and safety procedures, laying the groundwork for understanding diving physics and physiology.

Practical training commences with pool sessions, providing a safe environment to master fundamental scuba skills. This includes proper equipment setup, mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, and emergency responses. Once proficient in the pool, you will transition to open water dives. Bali Diving Academy conducts these dives in the waters around Lembongan and Penida, using boat dives to access diverse reef systems.

Across four open water dives, you will apply your learned skills in real dive scenarios. Instructors will guide you through navigation, buoyancy techniques, and responsible diving practices while exploring vibrant marine ecosystems. The course offers opportunities to witness the rich biodiversity of the area, with potential sightings of manta rays and other pelagic species. Transportation to dive sites is included for a seamless experience.

Upon successful completion, you will receive your PADI certification card, recognized worldwide. The course fee covers all necessary PADI materials, rental of full dive equipment, cylinders, weights, and instruction from a certified PADI instructor. This course is designed to build confidence and competence, preparing you for future diving adventures and an investment in a lifetime of exploration beneath the waves.
