The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) at Progetto Sub Sardegna is your direct route to becoming a PADI Instructor, a globally recognized dive professional. This intensive program is meticulously structured to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to teach all PADI courses. You will master presentation techniques for knowledge development, confined water, and open water dives, ensuring you can confidently guide aspiring divers. Progetto Sub Sardegna, a PADI 5 Star Dive Center, provides this essential training, preparing you for the final Instructor Examination (IE).
To enter this professional-level course, candidates must typically hold a PADI Divemaster certification or equivalent. A minimum of 60 logged dives is required to start, with 100 dives needed to complete the course and attend the IE. Furthermore, a recent EFR Primary and Secondary Care certification (within 24 months) and a medical statement signed by a physician (within 12 months) are mandatory prerequisites. The center often integrates the Emergency First Response Instructor course into the IDC, streamlining your path to instructor status.
This IDC focuses on the PADI educational system, emphasizing standards, procedures, and risk management. You will learn to conduct effective evaluations and develop strong teaching methodologies. The goal is to transform you into a competent and inspiring dive educator, ready to share the wonders of the underwater world. Upon successful completion of the IE, you will be certified to teach a wide range of PADI courses, from Open Water Diver to Divemaster, opening doors to a rewarding career in the dive industry.
Progetto Sub Sardegna offers this pivotal course in Italian and English, catering to a diverse international clientele. While specific dive site details for IDC practice sessions are determined by the training schedule and conditions, the center's commitment to PADI standards ensures a high-quality learning experience. Becoming a PADI Instructor is more than a certification; it's an opportunity to inspire others and contribute to marine conservation, a mission deeply embedded in the ethos of experienced dive professionals.
