The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at Plongee Castile is your next step in expanding your underwater capabilities. Building directly on your Open Water certification, this program is structured around five distinct adventure dives. Two of these are mandatory: a deep dive, pushing your limits to a maximum of 30 meters, and an underwater navigation dive to hone your orientation skills. The remaining three dives allow for specialization, with options often including wreck exploration or night diving, depending on local conditions and opportunities. This course is designed to increase your confidence and broaden your diving horizons.
This certification is awarded by PADI, a globally recognized leader in diver training. Plongee Castile offers this advanced training with instructors fluent in English, French, and Italian, ensuring clear communication and a comfortable learning environment for a diverse range of students. The center's commitment to quality instruction is evident in their approach to developing well-rounded, competent divers ready for more challenging underwater environments. Participants will gain practical experience in varied dive sites, enhancing their ability to adapt to different conditions.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification unlocks access to a wider array of dive sites and experiences. With this qualification, you are permitted to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters, significantly expanding the possibilities beyond the 18-meter limit of the Open Water course. This deeper access allows for the exploration of more complex reef structures, deeper wrecks, and diverse marine life typically found at these depths. It serves as a crucial stepping stone for further specialized PADI courses, such as Deep Diver or Wreck Diver specialties.
To enroll in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent from another recognized agency. Participants should be at least 15 years old, though junior divers aged 12-14 can participate with a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification. The course fee of 400 EUR covers the instruction and certification. While specific equipment needs will be detailed by the center, participants typically need their own mask, snorkel, fins, and exposure suit, with tanks, BCD, and regulators provided by Plongee Castile for the adventure dives. This structured approach ensures you are well-prepared for the challenges and rewards of advanced diving.
