The Rescue Diver course at Mundo Activo Sub is designed to equip you with advanced skills for preventing and managing diving emergencies. This program focuses on developing your ability to anticipate potential problems, recognize signs of stress in yourself and others, and execute effective rescue techniques. You will gain confidence in handling various scenarios, from assisting a tired diver to managing unresponsive individuals, significantly enhancing your safety and that of your dive buddies. The curriculum is structured around two core theoretical modules: Stress and Rescue, complemented by practical application in confined and open water.
This advanced certification requires a minimum of two full days of training. It includes comprehensive theoretical sessions covering accident assessment and dive site management, followed by practical exercises in confined water. You will then complete at least three open water dives to hone your rescue skills, such as towing a diver and simulating rescue breathing. The course emphasizes proactive prevention and decisive response, preparing you to act competently in stressful underwater situations. Mundo Activo Sub ensures a challenging yet rewarding learning experience.
To enroll in the Rescue Diver course, you must hold an Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent, be at least 15 years old, and possess a current Emergency First Response (EFR) certification or equivalent in first aid and CPR. These prerequisites ensure that participants have a solid foundation in diving knowledge and basic life support skills. This course is highly recommended for all serious recreational divers, as it significantly boosts awareness and capability, making you a more responsible and valuable member of any dive group. Mundo Activo Sub provides this crucial training to foster a culture of safety within the diving community.
The waters around the center offer a consistent average sea temperature of 20.2°C, providing comfortable conditions for skill development throughout the year. While specific monthly temperatures vary, ranging from 13.3°C in December to 27.4°C in August, the overall climate is conducive to diving. The course structure, involving theoretical blocks, confined water practice, and open water dives, is designed to maximize learning efficiency.
