The PADI Nitrox specialty at Scubafriends Tenerife teaches divers to plan and execute dives using enriched air, extending bottom time within no-decompression limits. The center provides Nitrox fills on site, so the certification can be put to immediate use on guided dives or subsequent course dives.

The specialty also feeds into the Advanced Open Water Gold package — one of the six adventure dives in that package is conducted on Nitrox, with the Nitrox certification included in the Gold price of €659. That makes it a practical add-on for divers doing the AOWD who want to get the most from the program.
