Corso PADI Divemaster

The PADI IDC at Scubafriends Tenerife is run by Course Director Salvatore Giglione, who is also the center owner — meaning candidates work directly with the person responsible for the program rather than being handed to a staff instructor. Salvatore holds over 5,000 logged dives with Trimix 66 and Tec 50 ratings alongside his Course Director credential. The center is limited-enrollment with groups of up to six candidates.

The course fee is €850 for the core IDC plus €350 for the EFR Instructor add-on. Teaching materials are purchased separately at €990 for the 2026 digital crew pack (including cue cards, eRDPml, and the EFR digital instructor pack). PADI's mandatory fees add further costs: €230 for the instructor application, €833 for the IE exam, €151.50 for the EFR instructor rating, and €59 per specialty. Five specialty instructor ratings can be bundled at €1,000 total from a list including Deep, Nitrox, Drysuit, Wreck, Night Diver, Search and Recovery, DPV, Oxygen Provider, Compressor Operator, Boat Diver, and Digital Underwater Photography.

Four IDC cycles are scheduled in 2026: January 30–February 5 (IE February 7–8), May 1–7 (IE May 9–10), September 18–25 (IE September 26–27), and November 27–December 4 (IE December 4–5). Specialty instructor and Master Scuba Diver Trainer courses run in the two days immediately following each IE. Because Salvatore is the Course Director and owner, scheduling outside the fixed calendar is available on request.

The facility has a dedicated classroom, warm showers, and changing rooms 50 meters from the sea. The course is available in Italian, Spanish, and English. Candidates must bring their own dive equipment (the center provides tanks and weights), all PADI materials in current editions, and a valid medical certificate.
