Tec 50

The Tec 40 at Scubafriends Tenerife is the first step out of recreational diving and into the technical track. It is taught within a center whose Course Director holds Tec 50 and Trimix 66 ratings, so the progression beyond Tec 40 can continue within the same operation without switching schools.

At this level, students begin working with decompression planning, supplementary cylinders, and the procedures that separate recreational from technical diving. Tenerife's clear Atlantic water and year-round access make it a practical environment for learning skills that will later be applied in more demanding conditions.

The Tec 40 is the gateway to Tec 45 and Tec 50, both of which are also offered at Scubafriends Tenerife. Instruction is available in Italian, Spanish, and English.
