Cursusbeschrijving
The RAID Twinset specialty course at FS Dive Coach is designed for certified divers aiming to extend their underwater exploration capabilities. This course naturally progresses from recreational diving, focusing on the use of two independent breathing systems to significantly increase gas supply and dive time. By mastering twinset configuration and gas management, divers enhance their safety margin and improve buoyancy control through a more balanced weight distribution, effectively transforming them into more capable underwater explorers. The curriculum is structured around the DIR philosophy, emphasizing a clean mind, structured training, and efficient gas management.
Practical training includes essential technical diving skills such as advanced propulsion techniques, Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) deployment, and controlled ascents. Divers will also practice the 'Basic 6' skills, crucial for managing equipment and their environment, alongside advanced navigation. The course spans three days, integrating theoretical knowledge, which can be accessed online or in-person, with extensive practical sessions. These sessions are conducted in both confined and open water environments, ensuring a thorough understanding and application of twinset diving principles. The goal is to equip divers with the confidence and competence to explore beyond conventional recreational limits.
To enroll in the RAID Twinset course, participants must be at least 15 years old with parental consent, hold a RAID Open Water 20 certification or equivalent, and possess a valid medical statement and diving insurance. FS Dive Coach provides access to the RAID E-Learning platform and includes a minimum of 240 minutes of in-water training. Crucially, all necessary equipment, including an XDeep Hydros 50 harness and wing system, Poseidon wing, Poseidon Xstream regulators, and cylinders, is provided for the duration of the course. This comprehensive package ensures divers can focus on skill development without the burden of acquiring specialized gear beforehand.
At a price of €599 + VAT, this specialty certification represents a significant step into technical diving. While the course fee covers e-learning, extensive in-water training, and equipment rental, it does not include accommodation, meals, or boat fees. FS Dive Coach, a center with a strong reputation evidenced by a 4.9 Google rating, offers this course with instructors fluent in multiple languages including German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, and Russian, catering to a diverse international clientele. This course is the logical next step for divers seeking greater autonomy and the ability to undertake more complex dives.
