OWD & Nitrox Kombikurs

This is tauchmalab's standard entry course — the OWD and Nitrox Diver combined into a single programme. The logic is straightforward: if you're learning to dive, you may as well learn to use enriched air from the start rather than adding it later as a separate course and a separate fee.

The OWD component follows the same structure as the standalone course: theory (eLearning with SDI or SSI), pool and confined water sessions, and four open water dives. The nitrox theory and dive planning is integrated into the programme.

Like all courses at tauchmalab, start dates are arranged individually. You choose between SDI and SSI certification. On completion of the OWD you're cleared to dive to 18 m worldwide with a buddy; the nitrox certification allows you to plan dives using enriched air mixes once certified.

At €475, the combined course costs €50 more than the OWD alone — a straightforward calculation if nitrox is something you plan to use on future trips. Study materials are separate. Inclusions match the standalone OWD: rental gear (minus mask, fins, snorkel), pool sessions, four open water dives, digital logbook, insurance, and digital certification.
