Referral Diver

The Referral Diver course covers the theory and pool components of the OWD in Hannover, with the four open water dives deferred to a future trip abroad. It's a practical option if you want to start the process during winter months but plan to do your open water work somewhere warmer.

On completion you hold a Referral certification, which allows you to dive in pool or confined water with a buddy of equivalent level. Once you complete the open water dives at a partner school — tauchmalab will help you find a suitable one — you receive the full OWD certification.

Scheduling is individual, starts as soon as registration is received, and is available year-round. Courses run in small groups. Choice of SDI or SSI certification track.

At €315, the course includes rental gear (excluding mask, fins, snorkel), pool and confined water sessions, dive insurance, and digital Referral certification. Study materials are extra. The OWD certification is issued after the open water dives are verified. Minimum age is 15 (10 for Junior with parental consent).
