Expand your underwater horizons with the Deep Diving specialty course offered by Nemotauchsport. This program is designed to safely extend your diving depth beyond the standard 18 meters (60 feet), typically to explore fascinating geological formations or shipwrecks. You will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the specific considerations and potential hazards associated with diving in the 18-40 meter range. Freshwater environments, especially below 25 meters, present unique challenges that this course addresses thoroughly. A strong foundation from advanced training prior to this specialty is highly recommended to fully benefit from the learning experience in Switzerland.
The curriculum includes one theory module and four practical dives, allowing ample opportunity to apply new techniques. To enroll, you must hold an advanced open water certification, be at least 15 years old, and possess a medical certificate issued within the last year. Nemotauchsport recommends a minimum of 30 logged dives, with at least 15 completed in the past year, to ensure you have the necessary experience for deep diving. Cold-water-ready dive equipment, including a dive light, is a mandatory requirement for all participants.
This specialty course is priced at CHF 520 for individual participants. For those joining with a buddy or in a small group of two or more, the cost is reduced to CHF 450 per person. The fee covers all necessary theory materials and the final certification card upon successful completion. Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance. Nemotauchsport, a center certified by CMAS, PADI, and SSI, offers this course in German, ensuring clear communication and instruction tailored to the local diving conditions.
Successfully completing the Deep Diving specialty course unlocks new possibilities for exploration, allowing you to visit deeper dive sites that were previously inaccessible. This qualification is a logical next step for divers looking to broaden their experience and gain confidence in more challenging underwater environments. It prepares you for further advanced training and opens up a wider range of dive sites and potential wreck explorations, enhancing your overall diving adventures.
