The baptism at La Tribu Bulles runs from age 8 — one of the younger starting points you'll find on the Var coast. Bubu offers two departure options: from the boat out on the water, or directly from the beach at La Madrague. Both formats stay within the small-group cap of five participants maximum, which means you're not waiting around on a crowded pontoon.

The setting is the Presqu'île de Giens corridor, with the Hyères islands visible on the horizon. For a first experience in open water, this stretch of the Mediterranean — calmer inside the islands than out — is well suited to someone who's never worn a tank before. A medical certificate is mandatory before the dive. Minors need written parental authorisation. Beyond that, the format is deliberately relaxed: the school describes the baptism programme as a convivial experience, adaptable to the group's energy and comfort level rather than run as a production exercise.

For families or groups wanting a full day around the experience, the Journée Extra format includes a baptism dive as part of a boat circuit covering the presqu'île, a transit to Porquerolles, and a beach picnic — an option worth knowing about if you want to build the dive into a broader outing.
