Niveau 2 / Deep Diver

Eight dives plus theory sessions, spread over 10 half-days. Available from age 16. The certification covers autonomous diving to 20 m and supervised dives to 40 m — which opens up the deeper wreck dives around Hyères, including the Donator and the Grec. Tank is included in the course price.

The syllabus at this level adds dive planning and organisation, reaction to incident management, diver rescue, and safety stops. Ten half-days means the course is not compressed — you're building muscle memory across multiple sessions rather than cramming everything into a weekend. The minimum 60-minute dive policy that applies to explorations extends to training here too.

For divers who want to continue toward technical diving, the Niveau 2 (or equivalent PA40 with Nitrox certification) is the gateway into the rEvo Diluant Air training. The progression from N2 to CCR is explicitly designed as a short path rather than a long detour at Perception Plongée.
