Wreck Diver

The PADI Wreck Diver specialty course at Koh Chang Divers offers a unique opportunity to explore underwater historical sites. This course provides the essential knowledge and skills for safely investigating shipwrecks, transforming them into fascinating artificial reefs teeming with marine life. You will learn responsible approach techniques and gain a sense of discovery while respecting these underwater environments. The curriculum covers wreck orientation, crucial safety procedures, and penetration techniques where appropriate and safe, alongside the history and ecology of these submerged structures.

This specialty is conducted over two days and includes five dives under direct instructor supervision. Koh Chang Divers enhances the experience by including an extra dive at no additional cost, full rental gear, and a dive computer. To facilitate your learning, 2-4 hours of independent eLearning are part of the program. The course is ideally suited for the HTMS Chang, a significant wreck dive site in Southeast Asia, making it a prime location for this specialty training.

To enroll in the PADI Wreck Diver specialty, you must be at least 15 years old and hold a PADI Adventure Diver certification or an equivalent rating. Successful completion of this course contributes towards the prestigious PADI Master Scuba Diver certification, demonstrating a broad range of diving experience and training. Exploring wrecks like the HTMS Chang allows you to witness diverse marine ecosystems that have developed on these structures, offering a chance to see how nature reclaims and transforms human artifacts.

Koh Chang Divers includes transportation to and from your west-side accommodation, along with lunch, snacks, and refreshments during your training days. While Marine Park fees and special transport requirements might incur additional costs, the core elements of your dive education are covered.
