Basic Diver

The SSI Basic Diver course at DiveCoral offers a perfect introduction to the underwater world for those unsure about committing to a full certification. This program focuses on fundamental diving skills, including essential equipment use and basic safety procedures, all within controlled environments. You will complete dives in confined water to build confidence and then experience your first open water dives under direct supervision. DiveCoral, a center certified by multiple agencies including SSI, PADI, and CMAS, ensures a structured learning path.

This course provides a glimpse into the diving conditions you can expect in the region. While air temperatures can fluctuate significantly throughout the year, ranging from a cool 2.7°C in January to a warmer 25.8°C in August, water temperatures will vary accordingly. Planning your visit during the warmer months, from June to August, will offer more comfortable diving conditions. The specific dive sites used for open water practice will depend on current conditions, but are chosen to provide a safe and engaging first-time experience with local marine life.
